NSA In-House Program

The In-House Program is the non-traveling Recreational Soccer Program sponsored by the NSA for ages 4 - 8. This program is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high level competition.  The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a life long love of the game.

The MYSA General polices for Recreational Play are:

  1. The use of tryouts, invitations, recruiting or any like process to roster players selectively to any team on the basis of talent or ability is prohibited;
  2. Affiliate Members must accept as participants any and all eligible youth (subject to reasonable terms of registration);
  3. A system of rostering players is employed for the purpose of creating a fair or balanced distribution of playing talent among all teams participating; and
  4. Each player plays at least ½ of each game except for reasons of injury, illness or discipline.

2020 Summer In-house Program Message from Coach Gabe

While normal soccer is not able to take place as any games or activities which involve competition for a ball are not allowed at this time, we are still offering some soccer programming beginning on Sunday June 14 and continuing until mid-July. Therefore, our In-House and Academy programming are going to be EXCLUSIVELY VIRTUAL for three reasons:

1. The age of the children. Since training will be limited to personal skills only, players would need to remain in their own space which takes away the joy and excitement of playing soccer together.

2. With restrictions as to the number of players on the fields at one time we would have to form player pods, or training groups, limited to 9 players and a coach which makes the logistics unworkable in our old format. In the past we have had upwards of 300 players between in-house and the academy programs.

3. By practicing at home, players can PLAY GAMES which involve competition for a ball with sibling(s) or parent(s).

Each Sunday there will be a live Zoom meeting for each age group (U4, U6, U8, U10) to talk with the players and families. Feel free to mute your screen or send me individual chats (or emails with questions). We will talk about the skills for the week and I will provide demonstrations as well. It would be helpful for me if the player's names to be used for the video when you join the meeting but not required.

Links to the activities and skills for the week will be shared along with VIDEO demonstrations. Activities for each age will be different and progressive over the 5 weeks.

Furthermore, a link to a Google Form for the week will be shared in which players can practice at home and submit time in order to earn badges for each skill. This google form will be closed on Saturdays at 6:00pm. Then, on Sunday I will be able to recognize the players that practiced their skills and give any special recognition if needed.

I will record these meetings and edit out the families, so if you miss the meeting you can still see the skills involved.

Each Wednesday a new skill and video demonstration will be released via links on email to all registrants.

Cost: $25

Dates: 5 weeks starting Sunday, June 14 and ending Sunday, July 19

Sunday Zoom Meeting Schedule:

U4 6:00pm CST

U6 6:30pm CST

U8 7:00pm CST

U10 7:30pm CST

We are using a new registration program this season. Please go to TeamSnap or send me an email with questions.

If you wish to sign your child up but are having financial hardship please email  Tammy Seymour at

I look forward to seeing all your smiling faces, albeit online. If you have questions please send me an email. I know this is not the way I want to play soccer but as Mick Jagger says, "you can't always get what you want." By having virtual sessions, we can still enjoy Jogo Bonito, the beautiful game, together.

All In-house sessions take place at Spring Park Soccer Fields.

The following programs are for boys and girls:

Policy Regarding Team / Friend Requests

We are unable to accommodate requests for a player to be placed on the same team as a friend.  The volume of requests in the past have proven to be too large of a logistical issue in team organization.  The lone exception to this is for siblings within the same age group.  Thank you for your understanding.
