2026 FALL TRAVELING SOCCER - Registration is closed - If you are interested in joining, please email admin@northfieldsoccer.org to check availability.

The fall season begins in late August and runs through mid-October. Training nights and game dates vary by team and will be determined after your player is placed on a roster. 

Fall traveling soccer is open to players in U10 - U14 age groups.  In the fall, players “age up,” which means a player who is a U12 player in the fall of 2026, is also a U12 player the summer of 2027.  

NEW AGE GROUPS STARTING THIS FALL:
US Soccer Affiliates including US Youth Soccer have announced that beginning in August, with this next soccer season (Fall and Spring / Summer) 2026–27 season, all teams and leagues including SMSL will transition to a seasonal age group calendar running August 1–July 31.

This change brings player age groups back in line with school-grade classmates—similar to the pre-2016 system—making it easier for kids to play with their friends and creating a more inclusive, development-friendly environment. The decision follows extensive national feedback and data review.

Fall 2026 traveling soccer is open to players born in:

Age Group	Birthdate Range (August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027 Season)
U9	Aug 1, 2017 – Jul 31, 2018
U10	Aug 1, 2016 – Jul 31, 2017
U11	Aug 1, 2015 – Jul 31, 2016
U12	Aug 1, 2014 – Jul 31, 2015
U13	Aug 1, 2013 – Jul 31, 2014
U14	Aug 1, 2012 – Jul 31, 2013

2026 FALL TRAVELING FEE:  $210 for all age groups

UNIFORMS:

A regular uniform kit is required for all traveling players (goalkeeper kits are optional). The kit used in the 2026 summer season is the same kit being used in the fall so there is no need to order one if you played last summer. 

If your child will be playing traveling soccer with NSC for the first time, you must order a uniform by July 31st to guarantee arrival in time for the first game.  Please contact Tammy at admin@northfieldsoccer.org to receive your jersey number and ordering instructions. Uniform costs are not included in the traveling fee. The uniform fee ranges from $85 to $110 depending on which items are purchased. The minimum cost for a regular uniform kit is $85.

Scholarship players are eligible to purchase a uniform at a discounted cost.  More information regarding the process will be sent by email from Tammy, our Club Administrator.
