ABOUT TRAVELING SOCCER

The Northfield Soccer Club offers traveling teams at U10-U18 for both boys and girls, at various levels of play appropriate for each particular age group. The Northfield Soccer Club is part of the Southern Minnesota Soccer League, and our teams travel and host teams from other SMSL clubs. We offer summer (U10 - U18) and fall (U10 - U14) traveling seasons.

2024 FALL TRAVELING SEASON - Registration is CLOSED

If you would like to join a team this fall, contact admin@northfieldsoccer.org to see if a roster spot is available. 

The fall 2024 season begins begins in late August and runs through mid-October. Training nights and game dates vary by team. 

TRAVELING FEES

Fall 2024 traveling soccer is open to players born in 2011 and 2012 (U14), 2013 and 2014 (U12), and 2015 and 2016 (U10). Age groups are set based on birth calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31) and contain two years in a group.  The fee for all fall traveling players is $200.

Scholarships are available. Please contact Tammy Seymour at admin@northfieldsoccer.org to learn more or request a scholarship. Scholarship recipients do not have to make any co-payments at the time of registration. 

UNIFORMS

The Northfield Soccer Club transitioned to a new uniform kit starting with the 2024 summer season.

A regular uniform kit is required for all traveling players (goalkeeper kits are optional). If your child will be playing traveling soccer with our club for the first time, they must order a uniform. If you are new to traveling soccer, please contact Tammy at admin@northfieldsoccer.org to receive your jersey number and ordering instructions. Uniform costs are not included in the traveling fee. The uniform fee ranges from $85 to $110 depending on which items are purchased. The minimum cost for a regular uniform kit is $85.

TEAM FORMATION

Teams will be formed immediately after registration closes, with age groups for team formation determined by the January-December calendar birth year based on standards set forth by the United States Soccer Federation. View our traveling team formation and tryout policy: English | Español.

PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

Traveling fees are paid in full at the time of registration. Scholarship recipients do not have to make any copayments at the time of registration. View our refund policy.
