About In-House & Academy

The Northfield Soccer Club In-House & Academy program is a non-traveling recreational soccer program for ages 4-10. This program is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without an emphasis on travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills

Season Dates

The fall 2024 season runs from Sun. Aug. 18 to Wed. Oct. 9 with Sun. Sept. 1 off for Labor Day and Sun. Sept. 8 off for the Defeat of Jesse James Days.  Over the span of these 8 weeks, your child will participate in 6 practices and play in 8 games.

Schedule

Both In-House and Academy practice on Sundays and play in games on Wednesdays.  On game days, we will spend about 10-15 minutes reinforcing a previous concept before scrimmaging for the remainder of the time.  Depending on registration numbers, the exact times below may be subject to change.

WEDNESDAYS -(game day) - Aug. 21, 28, Sept. 4, 11, 18, 25, Oct. 2, 9

6:00 - 6:30 - U4 Coed
6:00 - 6:45 - U5/U6 Coed
6:00 - 7:00 - U7/U8 Girls
6:00 - 7:00 - U7/U8 Boys
6:00 - 7:00 - Academy Girls
6:00 - 7:00 - Academy Boys

Due to early sunset, Wed. Oct. 2 will begin at 5:45 and Wed. Oct. 9 will begin at 5:30.

This is the location for all practices and games at the In-House and Academy levels.  U4, U5, U6, U7, and U8 play on Field 5.  The U9 and U10 Academy groups play on Fields 8 and 9 in the southwest corner of the park.

Registration closes at 11:59 pm on Sunday August 11, 2024.  After that, we won’t guarantee friend requests, team placement, or coach requests.

Required Equipment

• Shinguards (players must wear these at all times)
• Reusable water bottle
• Soccer cleats or flat tennis shoes
• Soccer ball
  • U4, U5, U6 - size 3 ball
  • U7, U8, U9, U10 - size 4 ball
