In-House & Academy 

The Northfield Soccer Club In-House & Academy programs are non-traveling recreational soccer programs for youth ages 4-10. Offered in both the fall and the spring/summer, these programs are primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without an emphasis on travel or high-level competition. They're a chance for participants to have fun, learn the sport, and develop life skills.

About the In-House Program

Our In-House program is a non-traveling, recreational soccer program for kids ages 4-8. We meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from May 19 to June 25 at the Spring Creek Soccer Complex, where we train, play games, and have fun. Groups will be coed and will be placed by birth year at the following levels:

Birth years:

  • U4: 2022
  • U5: 2021
  • U6: 2020 
  • U7: 2019
  • U8: 2018

Session times:

U4: 5:30 - 6:00 p.m.
U5 & U6: 6:15 - 7:00 p.m.
U7 & U8: 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Equipment:

  • Shinguards
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Soccer cleats or flat tennis shoes
  • Soccer ball
    • U4 & U5, U6 - size 3 ball
    • U7 & U8 - size 4 ball

About the Academy Program

The Academy is a developmental program for players ages 9 & 10 that bridges the transition between In-House and Traveling soccer. Open to kids born in 2016 (U10), 2017 (U9), and, for those who self-select in, 2018 (U8), the Academy offers players the chance to get significant time with the ball under the supervision of a licensed coach, who provides feedback and guidance on technical skills and team play. 

The Academy season begins April 20 and concludes July 9. We meet on Mondays and Thursdays at the Spring Creek Soccer Complex for the first three weeks and will add a third day (Wednesdays) for the remainder of the season to accommodate internal friendly games.

Birth years:

U9 Academy: 2017
U10 Academy: 2016

Session times:

Boys: 6:00 - 7:00 PM
Girls:  7:15 - 8:15 PM

Equipment:

  • Shinguards (players must wear these at all times
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Soccer cleats or flat tennis shoes
  • Soccer ball
    • U9 & U10 - size 4 ball

Registration & Fees

Registration is open now and closes on April 15. Fees cover the cost of the program and jerseys. All players are also required to provide their own soccer cleats (tennis shoes are permitted for In-House), shin guards, a water bottle and a soccer ball (size 3 for U4, U5 and U6; size 4 for U7, U8 and Academy).

  • Academy: $185

Our In-House program depends on enthusiastic parent volunteers to help our youngest soccer players develop a love of the game. No experience is necessary to become a team leader—we will train you, support you and give you all the information you need to have a successful season.
